Hydrant pump is a high-pressure water pump designed to increase the fire fighting capacity of buildings by increasing pressure in hydrant services when electricity is insufficient and can also be used for water transfer and irrigation applications. Hydrant pump works by Centrifugal End Suction which is pushing water with a large pressure through a turbine which is in the body of the hydrant pump away from the center (centrifugal movement). Pump rotation when working can reach speeds of 2,900 rpm. And can drain water to 2850 liters / minute. Installation of the pump must be considered, in order to avoid errors in operation and easily when carrying out routine inspections and maintenance. This is important because if there is a fundamental error in the placement of the pump, it will be difficult for the contractor because it has to dismantle the entire piping system in the fire hydrant installation network.
Hydrant Jockey Pump The shape of the jockey pump is usually vertical. This hydrant pump is used to maintain or stabilize the water pressure in the pipe.
Hydrant Electric Pump This hydrant pump is used to pump water sucked from a reservoir to be channeled to the hydrant valve for indoor, fire hydrant (outdoor), and sprinkler. This hydrant pump is capable of producing high pressure water. The essence of the use of this hydrant pump is the booster pump used in the event of a fire.
Hydrant Diesel Pump This pump is back up when the power supply / supply power to the electric pump is turned off. Aside from being a backup at the hydrant electric pump, the hydrant diesel pump serves as a pump that distributes water to the sprinkler and to the fire hydrant pillar.
